Oral Conscious Sedation

Picture
Dr. Ford understands many patients have fear and anxiety that may complicate necessary dental treatment.  Dr. Ford has undertaken hours of additional education in order to practice oral conscious sedation.  Usually administered by mouth, prescribed medications are used to calm patients. These sedatives have been in use for many years and been subjected to rigorous study. Doctors understand a great deal about how they work and interact with other medications.  These medications leave people fully sedated and comfortable with the ability to respond to questions and breathe on their own. (That's why the process is called conscious sedation.)
