"Dr. Christine Ford is a fellow Cal alum but, I assure you, that is not why I am here and it hasn't influenced this review. (Still, GO BEARS!) As a long time, very satisfied patient of Dr. Ford, I can say with confidence that you will find her to be both an extraordinary periodontist and a genuinely caring, empathetic and kind person. Did I mention witty and a pleasure to be around? That she has surrounded herself with a team of hygienists, assistants and office staff who are equally professional, caring and kind-hearted is to her great credit and theirs; I truly appreciate each and every one of these hard-working women, too. While Dr. Ford's bio (check it out at her website, santarosaperio.com) speaks to her extensive education and training, there is much more to this woman than an impressive resume. She is committed not only to pursuing and mastering the most innovative periodontal technologies, therapies and materials available, but to achieving the absolute best possible clinical and esthetic outcomes, as well. (I was distressed to learn at one point that I needed two quite complicated implants, but the process was all but painless and the results were fantastic . . . and gorgeous!) Dr. Ford maintains a highly progressive practice with unquestionable integrity and ethics, leading her to a treatment approach that is thoughtful and undogmatic; I can trust that she will recommend the more conservative option first, where such is warranted, without having to worry that she has a built-in bias toward a more invasive, possibly unnecessary, one. She is always willing to devote whatever time may be necessary in order to answer all of my questions and does a wonderful job of explaining procedures in terms that I, as a lay person, can understand. I could not recommend Dr. Ford more enthusiastically or with greater faith in her knowledge, professionalism and character."

Dr. Ford provides a standard of excellence in care giving that is felt from the moment you enter her office. "I have been a patient since 2004 and have always been well cared for by Dr. Ford and her entire staff. In particular, Dr. Ford has a very caring manner and calmness about her that is very reassuring and comforting. When recommending treatment and/or a procedure she is factual and honest but has never made me feel under pressure. I have had two surgeries, one in 2007 and the other this month and both times was more than satisfied with the results as well as the pre and post-operative care. Probably what I appreciate the most is that Dr. Ford's surgical patients are given her personal cell phone number and that she is sincere when she says to call her day or night, weekends, Holidays - whenever you feel you have an urgent need. She is clearly a dedicated professional."
